This project explored the ability to use digital media in design in the creation of furniture. Although an item exhaustively dealt by architects interested in furniture, I opted to make a chair.
In my exploration I decided to disregard the common chair typology and instead focused on the verb "to seat" and the unrestricted prospects available by that way of thinking. I also looked at the emotional influence a position can have on a person, how to ergonomically enhance comfort and how o promote back health since it is a problem to many modern people.
The final product was a fold-able chair that could easily be carried. The chair aimed at providing back support and to maintain the pelvis on the right angle, something which most modern chairs do not do, and is the main culprit in the epidemic of lower back problems.
